SMART4MD project is developing a computer tablet-based system app to improve the quality of life of people with mild dementia and of caregivers

The four year SMART4MD (Support Monitoring and Reminder Technology for Mild Dementia) project is developing a computer tablet-based platform especially for the needs of people with mild dementia, to help remind them to take prescribed medication, as well as allowing them to share health-related data with their caregivers and doctors.

ICT4Life community is getting bigger and more diversified!

Since December 2017, ICT4Life project has obtained the support of eight new entities or individuals from very diverse sectors! For its final year, ICT4Life is devoted to preparing the exploitation process by strengthening collaborations to maximise the impact of the project results at the European and national level. For this reason, ICT4Life has been focusing on creating connections with innovative SMEs (carrying research in e-health or digital innovations) and policy-making entities.

ICT4Life pilots launched in Paris, France !

Friday, 9th March 2018 was a milestone date for ICT4Life: The pilots were launched in France under E-Seniors’ supervision! We would like to thank the Day Care Center Renée Ortin in Sarcelles (Paris Region) to welcome our project!

Four patients diagnosed with Alzheimers’ disease or any other kind of dementia and three health professionals will test ICT4Life in real conditions during three months. Let’s the adventure get started!


18th International Conference on Integrated Care

The International Foundation of Integrated Care (IFIC) in partnership with RIVM and Vilans presents the 18th International conference on Integrated Care “Value for People and Populations: Investing in Integrated Care” to take place in The NBC Congrescentrum, Utrecht, Netherlands 23-25 May 2018. The conference will bring together researchers, clinicians and managers from around the world who are engaged in the design and delivery of integrated health and social care.

Workshop: Patient Data Acquisition, Analysis, Profiling and Personalized Care Plan

This workshop intends to bring together researchers from various scientific domains relevant to this multidisciplinary field of research. Results from the ICT4Life and the CAREGIVERSPRO-MMD EU funded projects will be presented along with research contributions from the broader research community.

The Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union will host the next ICT event at the Austria Centre Vienna in December 2018. ICT2018 will focus on the European Union’s priorities in the digital transformation of society and industry. The event will present an opportunity for the people involved in this transformation to share their experience and vision of Europe in the digital age.



On 26 February 2018, ICT4Life organized, together with the EU-funded projects FrailSafe, i-Prognosis and Innolabs, a workshop to promote the innovative solutions of tomorrow for frailty preventionearly detection of chronic diseases and integration of health and care services for people with dementia.

AAATE Congress 2017

The 2017 AAATE Congress is a 4-day event about Assistive Technologies that took place from 12 to 15 September 2017.

ICT4Life contributed to this event addressing the global challenge of meeting the needs of the increasing number of people who could benefit from Assistive Technology.

Meeting the Challenge of Ageing: “Putting the Citizens at the Heart of Integrated Care in Europe”

On 21 November 2017, ICT4life took part in this event in Glasgow to share its experience as regard the implementation of SCIROCCO methodology, as a tool to assess the integrated care maturity of the geographical areas interested by the pilots forecasted by the project.

The event was an opportunity to explore the potential of the tool to facilitate the partnerships and knowledge transfer in order to accelerate the journey of European regions towards integrated care.

Smart Indoor Event and Activity Recognition Workshop

On 29 August 2017, ICT4Life technical partners organised in Lecce (Italy) the SIEARW – Smart Indoor Event and Activity Recognition Workshop. 

The workshop has been organised in conjunction with IEEE AVSS 2017.

European Researchers' Night

On 29 September, ICT4life took part in the 2017 European Researchers’ Night in Madrid. The event is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) action.

Participants played with technologies and participated in a 2-hour workshop on Parkinson’s symptoms, thanks to which they could better understand through simulations the difficulties that patients face every day.

Consortium meeting in Greece: organising ICT4Life adaptation to end-users needs

On 4 and 5 April 2017, ICT4Life consortium met in Thessaloniki (Greece) at CERTH campus to coordinate partners’ work and review achievements and project results. ICT4Life partners agreed on the schedule for iterative testing to be performed with patients, health professionals and caregivers and discussed integration of ICT4Life different technical modules.
